I wanted these boats to be full on girly-girl with pinks and purples and lots of flair. George was super stoked to be making these for my girls; as I'm sure he is with every boat he makes. It shows in his attitude and the final product. Before we even spoke, I kind of thought that I would request one and it would be a stock thing with little variations here and there. But I was thrilled when he put so much attention toward the small stuff. We discussed brands, colors, shapes, logos, everything down the smallest detail.
Here are a few e-mails that I had sent George giving him updates. They have been slightly edited but remain with the bulk of the information.
George,
Got the foamies yesterday. Fantastic. We love them. My oldest was super excited and wanted to take a bath immediately. I mostly got it for her but there was no way she could get one without the other having one too. They both carried them around all evening. So we primed up before bath with a little preview of the video. Then we filled the bath and they had a blast tossing them into the pouring water. When it got deep enough and the boats started doing tricks, they just squealed and giggled.

So far we've had the boats on the lake, ocean, pool, ditch, tub and river. They go in the bath every night now and when the boats aren't in the bathroom I have to go looking for them to keep the squalling down. I didn't realize how tough these little things are. I knew my oldest would treat it properly but I figured my youngest would have at least torn the head off my now. Nope. These things can take it and more.

I haven't been able to take photos every time we had them on some water but I have been able to capture a few moments. My girls love having their little kayaks, just like daddy’s, and they go just about everywhere with us these days. They are still holding up and can take a beating like nothing I’ve seen. I only wish I was as durable as these things are.
